VideoQuote
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the VideoQuote Android app
(package ID net.moveset.videoquote), published by MoveSet, handles
information.
The short version
- The app has no account, no login, and no server.
- Everything you create stays on your device.
- Nothing is transmitted to me or to anyone else.
- There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
1No Account, No Server, No Collection
VideoQuote does not ask you to register, to sign in, or to create an account. There is no backend behind the app and no database of mine anywhere.
As the developer, I never receive, see, store, or have access to anything you enter into the app. This is not a promise about how carefully I handle your data. It is a description of how the app is built: there is no channel through which your data could reach me.
2What the App Stores on Your Device
The app saves what you create so you can reuse it. All of it is written to your device only, inside the app's private storage:
- Your business details: company name, your name, and contact information, typed by you so they can be printed on your quotes.
- Your clients' details: the name and contact information you type into each quote.
- Your logo: an image you pick from your gallery, copied into the app's private folder.
- Your signature: drawn with your finger and saved as a PNG in the app's private folder.
- Your price templates, quote history, and preferences, including the currency and language you choose.
- Free plan counters: how many PDF exports you have used, kept in encrypted storage backed by the Android Keystore.
- Exported PDFs: written to a temporary folder and opened with the PDF viewer already installed on your device.
None of this leaves your device. It is not synced, not uploaded, and not shared with third parties.
3What the App Does Not Collect
To be explicit, VideoQuote has:
- No analytics and no usage telemetry;
- No crash reporting;
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers;
- No tracking of any kind, inside or outside the app;
- No access to your location;
- No access to your contacts;
- No collection of your email address or any other personal identifier.
The app includes no networking library. It never sends your quotes, your clients' details, your logo, your signature, or any usage information anywhere. This matches the "no data collected" and "no data shared" declaration in the app's Data Safety section on Google Play.
4Permissions and Why They Exist
The app requests as little as possible.
Internet
The app declares the standard Android INTERNET permission. It is used for three
things only: completing purchases through Google Play, displaying Google's in-app review
prompt, and opening links in your browser. It is never used to upload your data.
Photo gallery
When you choose a logo, the app opens the Android image picker. It receives only the single image you select, and nothing else. The app does not browse, scan, or read the rest of your photo library.
5Purchases and Google Play Billing
VideoQuote Pro is sold as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock.
All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the transaction and receives the payment details. I never see, receive, or store your card number or any other payment information.
After a purchase, the app stores locally only what it needs in order to unlock features: a flag indicating that your subscription or lifetime unlock is active, and the ID of the product you bought.
Google's own handling of your purchase is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
6In-App Review Prompt
The app may show Google's rating request through the Google Play In-App Review API. The prompt is displayed and handled entirely by Google Play. The app does not learn whether you left a review or what you wrote.
7Device Features the App Uses
The app relies on features built into Android:
- The system image picker, to choose your logo;
- The native share sheet, to send a PDF wherever you choose;
- Your device's PDF viewer, to open exported quotes.
These run locally on your device and are not data transfers to me. When you use the share sheet, you pick the destination yourself, and the file goes from your device to the app or contact you selected. Nothing passes through me.
8Deleting Your Data
Because there is no server, there is no deletion request to submit and no account to close. You are in full control:
- Clear the app's data in Android Settings, under Apps, then VideoQuote, then Storage; or
- Uninstall the app.
Either action permanently deletes everything: your quotes, templates, history, logo, and signature. It cannot be undone, and I have no copy to restore from, because no copy ever existed. If your quotes matter to you, export the PDFs and keep them somewhere safe.
9Children's Privacy
VideoQuote is a professional tool for freelancers and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children under 13 included. Since the app collects nothing at all, no data about a minor can reach me.
10Changes to This Policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, for instance if a future feature introduces a new third-party service, I will update this page and change the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes on Google Play.
This page is the address linked from the app's Google Play listing, so the current version is always available there.
